In early 1994, my wife, Cheryl, and I, operating from our basement, jumped aboard the roller coaster that is the internet software business. In 1996 we opened an office at Purdy's Wharf, the modern office tower on the Halifax waterfront that is shown here. By 1998, we had another office near Boston in the USA. We gave all that up and are now, once again, happily ensconced in our basement.

I have been making music with synthesizers and computers for a long time. In the photo you can see me playing a Yamaha WX7 electronic wind instrument. If you have an mp3 player you can hear one of my experiments in techno. If you are interested, you can check out my music web site, cybermusic. |
I lived in Berkeley, California, from 1962 to 1981.
This included a period of intense student activity and political upheaval. While this was going on I took a great many photographs of activities and demonstrations on the University of California campus. In February, 2000, two of my photographs were installed as photomurals in the campus's just opened Free Speech Cafe. You can see some of my Free Speech Movement photos at the FSM website. |
