Video Loom enables a weaver, within minutes, to set up a handloom design and see a full color, high resolution picture of the resultant textile.
The original version, Video Loom for the Apple II, appeared in 1979, and was the first program of its kind to reach the market. An updated version, Video Loom II was released in 1982. The Apple II version was very well received. It was featured in Apple Computer Company marketing publications, and was used by schools, hobbyists, professional weavers and textile designers all over the world.
In 1991, I experimented with a DOS version that was never released. The DOS version is available as freeware. To get one, send an Email message to program@videoloom.com, telling us why you would like a copy.
We are thinking about developing a Windows version but, for the time being, it is on the "back burner".
