Lobster boats near Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Yarmouth is where you can catch a ferry to Maine in the USA. If you are driving to Nova Scotia from the United States, we highly recommend the overnight ferry to Yarmouth from Portland Maine. The food is good and if you take a cabin, the accomodations are fine.After you get off the ferry, at about 9:30 or 10 AM, you can drive to Halifax in about three and half hours.
