Alas, all good things must come to an end.

This is the dock at Portland.

Although the sign says "Welcome to Portland," we were on our way home.

At about 9 in the evening, we drove onto the overnight ferry bound for Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, only a few hours drive from our home near Halifax.

As we pulled away, people were out on the deck so they could get a good look at the city's lights.
I parted with my new digital camera briefly, so Cheryl could take this picture of me.
This is what Portland's harbor looked like when we were leaving.

We had a nice, large cabin and slept through most of the 12 hour boat ride.

You can see some of the photos of Nova Scotia that we took on our way home.
